Wood Green School

The SFS package provided a robust and accurate framework for the building envelope, while the internal partitions helped create the classrooms, laboratories, circulation areas and supporting spaces required throughout the new facility.

Careful coordination was essential, particularly within the specialist teaching rooms where partitions and acoustic treatments needed to integrate with laboratory furniture, lighting, ventilation and other building services. Firestopping was completed at relevant junctions and service penetrations to help maintain the building’s fire compartmentation and support its overall safety performance.

Acoustic panels were installed across the science and arts spaces to control reverberation and create a more comfortable environment for teaching and learning. The suspended panels also complement the building’s contemporary interior, integrating neatly with the exposed services and linear lighting.

The completed building provides Wood Green School with bright, modern and highly functional teaching spaces. From the specialist science laboratories to the open circulation areas, our work was delivered with close attention to detail, coordination and finish.
